Charles Handy: Background

Charles Handy is recognised as one of the world’s pre-eminent management thinkers over the last 20 years. Books such as The Futureof Work, The Age of Unreason, The Empty Raincoat and most recently The New Alchemists: How Visionary People Make Something Out of Nothing, have fundamentally changed the thinking and practice of organisations internationally.

His ideas have encouraged a whole generation of employees to re-think their relationship with employers, leading to more flexible working, portfolio careers and consultancy roles.

He lives out the principles of the "new world of work", working on his writing projects while moving between bases in Norfolk, London and Italy.
